DAISY Hill had a disappointing start to their league campaign with 1-0 home defeat at the hands of league new boys Norton United.
Manager Alan Aspinall was philosophical after the game. "We lost a bad goal early on, but in the second half we created a few decent chances and on another day might have taken something from the game", he said.
"We have a number of players who missed our pre-season build up and are not match fit as yet, and they will need a few more games before they can produce the level of performance we require."
Daisy's next match is tonight at home to Darwen, kick off 6.30 pm.
