DEDICATED keep fit enthusiasts will be getting on their bikes to raise money to help a seriously ill youngster.
A team of 12 people from Lostock Leisure club in Lostock Lane will be taking part in a non-stop 36 hour bike ride from 10am on Saturday August 25 until 10pm the following night.
The fund-raisers aim to clock-up 500 miles, but will never have to leave the comfort of the gym as all the cycling will take place on exercise bikes.
All the money raised will go towards research into the rare disorder Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) which affects little Luciana Wulkan.
Luciana, aged three, from Astley Bridge, faces a difficult future after being diagnosed with the illness which turns soft tissue in the body to bone.
Anyone wanting to sponsor the cyclists is urged to contact organiser Rob Stewart on Bolton 669673.
