AN Asda driver was taken to hospital after his fork lift truck toppled over and smashed against a water main in the loading bay at the Farnworth store.
The 37-year-old driver, who is not being named, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital as a precautionary measure but escaped serious injury.
Asda store chiefs have launched their own investigation into the accident but the store opened as usual this morning and no stock was damaged.
The incident happened at 10.20pm last night as the loading bay staff were moving stock.
Firefighters were called to the Brackley Street store to disconnect sparking electrics in the loading bay and to make the fork lift truck safe.
