PUPILS will benefit from £420,000 of Lottery cash.
Money from the New Opportunities Fund has been allocated to help young people enjoy out of school activities in Radcliffe and Bury over the coming three years.
The funding will be used to create homework and revision clubs, cultural and arts activities and outdoor pursuits and sports.
It is hoped that youngsters from the two schools in Radcliffe and nine schools in Bury will have a chance to improve their self-esteem, motivation and become effective learners through the range of activities on offer to them.
Radcliffe schools to benefit include Chapelfield Primary which will receive £10,823 and St John's CE Primary which will get a £10, 940 boost.
Bury schools in line for the funding include £10,926 for East Ward Primary, Holy Trinity Primary £10,980; St John's CE Primary £10,895; St Paul's CE Primary £11,111; Broad Oak High £43,420; Bury CE High £42,547; Derby High £42,369; St Gabriel's RC High £41,634; and Millwood Special Primary £17,427.
