CHILDREN made a petrol bomb and sparked three fires in Breightmet last night.
Firefighters believe children as young as 10 could have been involved in making a petrol bomb which was thrown against a wall in Lenham Gardens, Breightmet at 8pm yesterday.
Firefighters were later called to petrol which had been poured onto grass and set on fire on a football pitch off Blenheim Road. A third incident happened 30 minutes later when a petrol can had been set on fire near a house in Blenheim Road.
Ben Levy, leading firefighter at Bolton North Fire Station, said: "We are linking all three incidents. We cannot stress enough that playing with petrol is very dangerous -- it is not a toy. We could have been called to something much worse."
