VOLUNTEERS are still needed to take part in a family fun walk on Sunday, September 9.
Horwich New Heart Club had to postpone the popular trek around Rivington Pike planned for May because of the foot and mouth restrictions.
The mile-long circular trek, which was set up 12 years ago, starts at Rivington Barn with walkers leaving between 1pm and 2pm. Trophies will be awarded to children, individuals, families and the teams which raise the most amount of cash for the appeal.
The New Heart Club has raised more than £100,000 to support the New Heart Start Appeal at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester since 1989.
