THERE are many complaints hurled at the NHS, but here is some praise.
My husband, Ken, suddenly collapsed at home with an aortic aneurysm, which burst in his abdomen.
Thanks to the very prompt action by the Rapid Response and Ambulance Service, he was on the operating table at Royal Bolton Hospital within an hour.
Thanks go also -- well, how can we adequately thank those who save lives? -- to the surgeon, Mr Ferguson, and the wonderful staff on ICU and Ward F5.
You gave me back my husband, our daughter her father -- and Ken his life.
