A 50-YEAR-OLD man from Little Lever had to be treated in hospital after an attack at Radcliffe's Metrolink station. He was making a call to a taxi company when he was attacked and had his mobile phone stolen.
He was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where he had three stitches in his bottom lip. The assault happened on the station steps shortly after 1am on Sunday, police said.
As he was making the call, three youths were sitting nearby. One ran over and punched him in the face before stealing the phone.
The attacker was described as being 5ft 11ins tall, aged 20 to 25, slim build and pale skinned. The two others were said to be aged 20 to 25 and of similar build.
