AN RAF officer from Bolton has graduated from his initial training course and had the Prince of Wales as his reviewing officer at the graduation parade.
Craig Needham, aged 31, whose parents Peter and Francine still live in Bolton, attended Coney Green High School, Radcliffe, before joining the RAF in 1988.
After serving 13 years with the RAF Police he decided to become an officer and now that he has graduated he will begin his professional training with Air Traffic Control.
During the graduation parade, which began with a fly past by the Red Arrows, The Prince of Wales presented a new Queen's Colour to the college.
The aim of the Initial Officer Training Course is to provide students with general service and character development training which will enable them, after professional training, to fill appropriate junior office posts.
The 24-week course includes physical training, ground defence training, leadership and management skills, station visits, adventurous training in Scotland and operational studies and air experience.
