A MAN was caught by a police inspector using his mobile phone while driving his car on a motorway, a court was told.

Graham Mark Robinson, aged 34, took a call about his mother's operation.

Robinson, of Oaklands Road, Edenfield, appeared before Rochdale magistrates and admitted driving without due care and attention on the M62.

He was fined £100 and five penalty points were put on his licence.

Mark Humphreys, prosecuting, said a police inspector driving along the M62 noticed Robinson on his mobile phone while travelling at 70mph.
