HUNDREDS of members of the Tonge Fold community got together for a day of fun and fund raising.
The Tonge Fold Residents Group's fun day was an enormous success with people of all ages joining in many activities in the sunshine.
Children enjoyed the bouncy castle, games, face painting and candy floss stalls.
But there was entertainment for every age group with a traditional fairground organ proving to be a big crowd puller.
All the money raised on the day will be split between the Residents Group, St Chad's Church, St Trinity Church and the local Allotment Association.
Organiser and Tonge Fold stalwart Jack Barlow said: "We all had a terrific time and couldn't have ordered better weather.
"The four groups all worked together and it was a real community day.
"The fairground organ belongs to me and always seems to attract the crowds because it is so unusual and makes such a lovely noise.
"We've not counted all the money yet but hundreds of people came along, so we think we've done quite well."
