PREMIER Division new boys Tempest United followed up a 4-1 midweek derby win over Eagley with a 6-2 Saturday home victory over Burnley United.
Alan Shawcross bagged three with further goals coming from Steve Settle, Andy Clarke and Darren Maloney getting the last to take his season tally to eight.
Goals from Carl Banks and Clinton McLoughlin saw Eagley to a 2-1 win at Springfields whilst Blackrod Town went down to a first defeat in the opening seven games by a 3-1 margin at Dalton United, Stuart Rudd getting the consolation goal.
A Matthew Legg goal earned Turton a 1-1 home draw to second in the Division One table Milnthorpe Corinthians. In Division Two an Openshaw double and one from Vickers saw Stoneclough to a 3-1 home win over Crosshills whilst Tottington United drew 1-1 at home to Barrow Rangers, Kay the scorer.
