NEW striker Andy Mason scored three goals in as many games as Chorley pulled off two victories in the three matches following the opening day defeat by visitors North Ferriby.
Ken Wright's boys got back on to the winning trail with a resounding 3-0 triumph at windswept Workington.
Neil Mitchell forced keeper Mason to save with his leg and from Noel Corrigan's corner he ghosted in to bury a well-timed header.
The Magpies, with central defender Lee Molyneux making an excellent debut, went two up in 52 minutes when Danny Mills rifled the ball in from 35 yards.
Following a free kick in the dying seconds, the home keeper blocked a shot from tricky David Eatock and Mason was on hand to nod the ball into the empty net.
A second-half fightback enabled Chorley to overturn a two-goal half-time deficit to beat Farsley Celtic 3-2 at Victory Park on Saturday.
Newton headed Farsley ahead in the 11th minute, Shaw had a header cleared off the line and France hit a post before Newton chipped his second over a stranded Simon Marsh in the 31st minute after the keeper had brilliantly blocked his first attempt.
The loss through injury of Molyneux and a penalty miss by Mills before half-time added to the Magpies' misery, but within nine minutes of the restart Farsley keeper Taylor was hustled out of possession by Eatock and Mason guided in the loose ball. Five minutes later Eatock bent a free kick past the defensive wall to equalise and as Chorley pressed, substitute Scott Bradford scrambled in the winner on 69 minutes following a run by Chris Blakeman.
An injury-hit Chorley team found well-organised Radcliffe Borough a shade too streetwise at Victory Park on Monday but in the end were unlucky to lose a full-blooded derby clash.
Already without three injured in the Farsley win they also lost David Eatock, who damaged a knee in the pre-match warm-up.
Even the dismissal of full-back Battersby just before half-time for a second bookable offence did not tip the scales until it was too late. Elliott put Radcliffe ahead after 28 minutes, the referee unwittingly charging down Bradford's clearance to put Boro back on the attack. The move culminated in Elliott drilling the ball home.
Boro had a bonus in the 68th minute when Elliott cashed in on sloppy distribution to catch Marsh off his line from 25 yards.
Mitchell missed a chance from five yards before Mason pulled a goal back 10 minutes from the end, potting the rebound after Bradford had struck the upright. As Chorley turned up the heat Blakeman hit the underside of the bar before being scrambled to safety.
RESULTS:
Workington 0 Chorley 3
Chorley 3 Farsley Celtic 2
Chorley 1 Radcliffe Borough 2
