THE final match of the 'Hooked on Fishing not drugs or crime' series was held on Bradshaw Hall Fisheries Number Four Lake.
More than 50 youngsters competed for a huge number of prizes donated by many High Street names.
The winners in the two age groups would eventually be determined by the total weights of fish caught over the four weeks the competition was held.
Jade Ball from Swinton won the 12s and under group in last Monday's match with 9lbs-10ozs. of carp. Second was Bolton angler Martin Sharrock, who at eight years old did very well to catch 5lbs-10ozs.
Darren Royal, aged 11, from Bromley Cross, was third with 4lbs-7ozs. Nicky Shackleton was fourth with 4lbs-0ozs and Aim'ee Lowton was fifth with 3lbs-130zs. Both youngsters live in Bolton.
In the over 13 group, 14-year-old Chris Diack from Bury won with an impressive 28lbs-4ozs caught on paste and pellet. Dan Layland was second with 13lbs-8ozs, third was James Wilson who caught 11lbs-0ozs.
Fourth was Arron Applegate with 10lbs-12ozs whilst Steven Torkington was fifth with 5lbs-12ozs.
When the total weights were examined the overall winners in each age group were: Under 12s. First, Chris Poulton, 10 years, with 59lbs-7ozs, he was also the winner in the age group two years ago. Second was Jade Ball, 12 years with 53lbs-4ozs. Ben Broughton came third with 52lbs-10ozs. In the over 13s group Arron Applegate came out the victor, following last years success when he won the 12s and under group, he proved he was up to it with the older group by winning three out of four matches. The Bromley Cross youngster's amassed total of 137lbs-0ozs was way beyond the rest. Second was last years winner in the group, Chris Diack who finished the series with 103lbs-14ozs. Third was Arran Thomas with 47lbs-9ozs.
