SAM Allardyce is worried that Ricardo Gardner could pay a high price for his international duties with Jamaica.
The Wanderers winger flew to the Caribbean on Tuesday and is now training with the Reggae Boyz who are preparing to play two important World Cup qualifiers in the space of four days.
Jamaica meet Mexico in Kingston on Sunday then fly to South America to play Honduras next Wednesday - an itinerary Allardyce fears could take its toll, possibly jeopardising his selection for the Premiership game at Leeds on Saturday week.
"I'm very concerned that he's playing two games in four days and travelling all that distance," the manager said. "He won't be back with us until the Thursday before we play Leeds.
"That means he won't be training with us and he could be very tired."
