Rupert Ladies v Little Lever Eleven LITTLE Lever Eleven won the Express Electrical Chadwick rounders cup when they beat Rupert Ladies by an innings of 78-72.
Rupert batted first and lost just one batter first time round but the bowling and fielding of Little Lever was very good and Rupert began to lose batters quickly and were dismissed for 34 runs.
Little Lever then batted and lost five in the first round and a close game appeared to be on the cards. The last three batters however stuck in and Debbie Booth 20 runs, Jackie Pickering 19 runs and Angela Farthing 16 runs and with the help of 13 bad balls scored 78 runs.
When Rupert batted a second time they lost five batters in the first round and although Mandy Makin scored 12 runs Rupert were dismissed for 38 runs.
The cup was presented to the winning captain, Julie Bluer, by a representative of Express Electrical.
