DANIEL Christie bagged three superb goals for Atherton Town in a highly impressive 3-1 away win at Willows which saw the Howe Bridge go clear at the top of the Premier Division table.
Pennington drew 1-1 at home to East Manchester, Steve Booth scoring while promoted Leigh Athletic are beginning to relish life in the Premier as goals from Richard Wilson and Brendan Blood earned a 2-1 home win over one of the pre season title favourites Wythenshawe Amateurs.
In Division One Hindsford won 4-1 at Whitworth Valley, Matt Toone following up Saturday's four goals with two and further scores coming from Neil Critchley and Jamie Hopkins. Breightmet United beat Warth Fold 2-1 after going a goal behind, Paul Fletcher and a superb Adam Taylor header from Damien Harper's cross earning Phil Breakell's side all three points.
