POLICE have confirmed a body found in the Lake District is that of a missing Whitefield student.
Mark Hughes, aged 19, was found in Orrest Woods, Windermere, at 6.10pm on Wednesday.
He was formally identified by his parents yesterday. Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious.
The student, whose family live on Pinfold Lane, disappeared two weeks ago. He was due to start a psychology course at Manchester Metropolitan University next month.
An inquest will be held.
