A DISQUALIFIED driver on a deferred prison sentence was not jailed by Rochdale magistrates.
Trevor Frank Ascough, aged 32, of Barlow Street, Radcliffe, re-offended while subject to a three months' deferred sentence, after he admitted driving while banned and without insurance and obstructing a police officer.
The court was told that, during that period, Ascough had committed further motoring offences and been sent to prison for five months by Bury magistrates.
After being told Ascough was due for drugs treatment and a testing order run by the probation service, Rochdale magistrates made him subject to a 200 hours community punishment order and banned him from driving for a further 12 months.
