DISQUALIFIED driver Christopher Hardman has been jailed for three months.
Bury magistrates were told Hardman, aged 24, had been involved in a long running dispute which had led him to drive to Rydal Close, Whitefield.
Hardman had got involved in an argument with another man and they came to blows. Then Hardman, from Somerset Drive, Bury, leapt into his Austin Metro van and reversed at speed out of the cul-de-sac. His vehicle sped right across a road, on to the pavement and hit a wall. He was then in collision with a parked car causing extensive damage. He then sped away from the scene.
Hardman pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, failing to report and stop after an accident, having no insurance, driving while disqualified and having no MOT.
