MOTORISTS will have to cope with new roadworks in Bolton town centre during the next week.
Sewer repair works are taking place at the junction of Chorley Street and White Lion Brow leading to a one-way system and diversions.
Motorists are also expected to face disruption next week in:
Turton: Road resurfacing continues in Turton Road from Bradshaw Brow to Chapeltown Road. Off-peak work is due to end on Friday.
Kearsley: High levels of disruption in Market Street/Ringley Road caused by road resurfacing. The project will last until December.
Deane-cum-Heaton: Road improvement works at the junction of Ladybridge Lane and Chorley New Road are due to start tomorrow and continue until November.
Blackrod: North-west water and Transco work in James Street, Mansell Way, Ox Hey Lane and Crown Lane near Swallow Rise continues, causing only low levels of disruption. Chorley Road from Manchester Road A6 to Slack Lane, Westhoughton, continues to suffer high levels of disruption due to cable installation.
Bolton Central: Pavement and road works is still slowing traffic around Nelson Square. Sewer repair work at the junction of Chorley Street and White Lion Brow means a temporary one-way system is operating with no entry from Spa Road. Work is expected to continue until September 11.
On Sunday one lane will be closed on Bridge Street at the junction of St Georges Road for cabling work.
