DEAN Holden has turned down the offer of a loan move to Finland.
The Wanderers' full-back, fit again after missing more than a year with a broken leg, was wanted by FC Haka - the team Liverpool beat in the qualifying round of the European Champions League.
Holden, whose rehabilitation was helped by a spell with Valur in Iceland during the close season, is happy to go out on loan again but not abroad.
"I don't want to go away again," he confirmed today. "I've done the Iceland thing on my own and really enjoyed it. It was a good experience, which helped me from the football point of view and from the aspect of looking after myself.
"I'll go out on loan again, if the club want me to get games, but I've been away and would prefer to do it here."
The highly-rated former England Youth international was establishing himself in the Wanderers' senior side when he broke his leg in a Division One game against Sheffield United in March of last year.
He made an emotional comeback when he scored the last minute goal that earned Wanderers' a draw against the Blades at the Reebok in last season's final league game.
Although fit again he accepts he still has some way to go before playing his way back into Sam Allardyce's plans.
"In my own mind I'm completely fit and completely back after my injury," the 21-year-old defender says, " but Bolton were a First Division club when I was injured and now they are a Premiership side, so I've got a bit further to go. I'll get there though."
