I CAN see our lads giving the Germans a right good thrashing on Saturday.

We were rubbish at Wembley last October, even Scotland would have beaten us! But since then Mr Eriksson has quietly gone about his business preparing his young squad for situations like this.

I'll give my punters a Saturday night treat: If a United player scores first I'll double his odds -- for example Beckham (let's hope he's playing) is 12/1, if he scores first I'll give you 24/1.

I'll also give these odds on an England win -- 1-0 6/1; 2-0 11/1; 2-1 11/1; 3-0 33/1; 3-1 33/1; 3-2 40/1; 4-0 100/1; 4-1 100/1; and a special price of 250/1 for England to win 4-2. God bless Bobby Moore.

Back on the domestic front, Michael Ricketts is off to a great start -- I'll give 33/1 on him to be top Premiership marksman this season, and 8/1 for Wanderers to finish In the top six.

Oh, and by the way, it cost me £10,000 at the Reebok last Monday against Liverpool. Loads of punters had the first correct scorer and final score combination -- but you can't beat me every time. One lucky customer had £20 at odds of 75/1 on Ricketts to score first, and Bolton to beat the scousers 2-1, which gave him winnings of £1,500. Well done to him and if you had it -- congratulations!

One mad punter came into our Salford shop this week and put £100 on Barthez to score a Premiership goal this season, I gave him 10/1. I've got Van Nistelrooy at 20/1 to score 32 or more league goals, and Beckham is 50/1 to score a goal and an own goal in the same game, like he did against Blackburn.

What about Man City? Keegan knows how to attack, but can he work the magic and get the Blues back into the top flight. I'll give 15/8 for City to win the Nationwide First Division, or if you think they'll do well In the Cup, I'll give 150/1 for City to win the FA Cup.

We had an unlucky punter at York last week with a £1 each way Heinz, and a £3 each way accumulator, which meant if his six horses came in he would have won £170,000 -- well his first five did win: Whistling Dixie at 11/4; Ace of Trumps at 7/1; Just Murphy at 06/1; Gorstsky at 7/2 and Persian Punch at 11/4. His last choice: Night Flight at 13/2 came second by a head, and cost him £161,000. Still £9,000 is better than a kick up the Ebor! See you next week.
