A DISGRACED businessman jailed for tax fraud has been told to repay £1m to the Crown, or spend an extra six years in prison.
John Foggon, aged 56, who owned a Rolls Royce and a Bentley and had a villa in Majorca, diverted more than £1m into a secret bank account.
Foggon was chairman of Vaclensa Plc, based in Worsley. It had a turnover of £4.46m supplying commercial cleaning machines mainly to hotels and breweries. Some sales were not shown in the firm's financial records, and the profit went into the secret account to fund his lavish lifestyle.
In addition to his main home in Worsley Road, Swinton, Foggon had a house in the Lake District. Both were worth around £300,000.
Foggon was jailed for two years last May, but attended Manchester Crown Court for the confiscation proceedings.
