AMY Liptrott can pluck almost any tune out of thin air and perform it on her harp.
The harpist from Heaton, who made the second of her two Bolton Festival appearances yesterday lunchtime, says she can play any kind of music except Heavy Metal.
Amy, aged 22, is set to take up a post-graduate course at the Royal Northern College of Music this month.
After graduating she hopes to become a professional freelance harpist.
She said: "I can play anything from Bach to the Beatles. I do a lot of background music for weddings and some of the requests have been very unusual."
Amy decided she wanted to play the harp when she watched musicians on television.
She said: "They looked so beautiful and serene that I decided that is what I wanted to do. And there was no one else at school who played the harp and it was good to be different."
