A GUN-wielding burglar terrorised a couple and their baby in the middle of the night before stealing their cash.

Once inside the thief put a metal, square-barrelled pistol to the sleeping man's head. He woke up and struggled violently with the burglar.
The thief made the man's wife lie on the floor next to the bed covered by a quilt and passed her the baby.
Eventually he asked to know where the family kept their money then stole it. Before escaping he made the husband lie face down on the bed.
The burglar was described around 6ft tall with a thin build. He wore a black woollen balaclava with eye and mouth holes pulled down over his face.
He was also wearing a navy blue bomber-style jacket with an elasticated waist, dark blue denim jeans and dark blue woollen gloves.
