PEOPLE are invited to see how a group in Westhoughton is managing to grow its own organic food.
An open day is being held at Hall Lee Community Garden, which was set up as a model plot to show how anybody can grow their own healthy food without resort to chemical pesticides or artificial fertilisers.
The initiative, set-up by Westhoughton Food Co-op, is in the old tree nursery near the entrance to Hall Lee Bank Park, on Park Road.
The event takes place at between 11am and 4pm on Saturday September 15.
