Ramsbottom Utd 1 Clitheroe 4
A 4-1 HOME defeat hurts at any time but coming against one of your fiercest rivals adds an extra sting.
The one and only consolation in a miserable outing for United was Brad Franks' 89th minute goal otherwise the night belonged entirely to Clitheroe.
"We said before the game not to be fooled that Clitheroe hadn't won a game so far this season," fumed club secretary John Maher. "Having kept the same side that did so well last season and reached the Vase semis you just knew they would come good. They did - and it was against us. It was a miserable display from our lads and just impossible to name a man of the match they were that bad."
