THE body of a man was today found in Bury's Kay Gardens.
Police cordoned off the area close to the bus and tram interchange after the discovery at 5.20am.
The body is believed to be that of Mr Paul Walsh, aged 51, from Ainsworth.
Bus drivers discovered his body covered in a blood on a bench outside the Bon Marche ladies clothes shop.
It is understood Mr Walsh was an alcoholic who regularly visited Bury town centre.
On Wednesday, paramedics were called to the interchange after Mr Walsh was found collapsed in one of the waiting areas.
A post mortem examination was being held this lunchtime to establish cause of death.
Police chiefs said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death at present.
