LEIGH RMI's injury-plagued start to their Nationwide Conference campaign shows no sign of easing with influential midfielder Dave Ridings the latest casualty.
Ridings, RMI's longest-serving player, damaged knee ligaments early in the game against Southport on Tuesday. RMI are waiting for a specialists report but fear he will be sidelined for a long while. Ridings is added to long-term casualties Ged Kielty, Steve Thompson and Jamie Udall as Leigh struggle to make an impact on the Conference this time around.
The injury situation will force manager Steve Waywell to delay selection for tomorrow's home clash with Stevenage until the last minute. After tomorrow RMI face a midweek trip to Nuneaton.
