RADCLIFFE Boro get back to the bread and butter of Unibond League duty with a home game against Lincoln United.

The Stainton Park outfit successfully negotiated Tuesday night's FA Cup replay at Atherton LR with a 5-2 victory after the hiccup of the initial tie last weekend finishing 3-3.

The club's start to the all-important league campaign has been impressive indeed with three wins and a draw to sit just behind shock early pacesetters new boys Ossett Town.

Hopefully the two games against LR will have shown just how important it is to maintain concentration levels if hopes of a serious title tilt are to be realised.

Experienced midfielder Mark Dempsey made a first appearance of the season as substitute in the cup replay and adds to manager Kevin Glendon's options for the Lincoln game.

Ramsbottom United were left shaken and stirred by Tuesday's 4-1 shocker home defeat inflicted by big NWCL Division One rivals Clitheroe.

A vast improvement will be needed if anything positive is to be gleaned from tomorrow's difficult away trip in the FA Vase to Northern League Chester Le Street.

In the NWCL Division One Atherton Colls travel to Fleetwood Freeport while Atherton LR are at home to Woodley Sports. The big doubt for LR will be over midfielder Steve Strange who was injured against Radcliffe Boro.

Daisy Hill manager Alan Aspinall was hoping to add at least one new signing to his squad in time for tomorrow's home Division Two clash with Bacup Boro.

The last two league outings have seen Daisy go down 9-1 at Nelson and on Tuesday 7-1 at home to Stand Athletic highlighting the need to inject a little experience into the side. Striker Karl Jones could return after missing the last three games through tonsillitis.
