A POLICE crackdown on faulty tyres has revealed most Bolton motorists are looking after their vehicles.
Officers from the traffic unit have been stopping drivers throughout the week, but have had to take little action.
Sgt Ken Carter said: "So far, we have only had to offer advice to one or two people regarding the condition of their tyres.
"It is early days, but early indications are that people are complying with the law."
Motorists found to have tyres with tread below the recommended depth can face fines and have points added to their licence.
