FIREFIGHTERS fear a car blaze in Brownlow Fold could have been started by an arsonist being hunted in connection with a massive primary school blaze.
A stolen Vauxhall Cavalier was parked next to a mill in Darley Street at 4am today and set alight.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze before the flames could spread to the car engine and adjoining mill.
Officers were called to the same street earlier this week after a stolen Ford Escort was set alight next to the wall of Brownlow Fold Primary School. The fire spread to the school roof and caused damage estimated at up to £50,000.
