A WOMAN is offering a reward for the return of two 30-year-old tortoises which were stolen while she was looking after them.
Janet Bullock is anxious for the pets to be returned after they were taken from the back garden of her house in Bromley Cross.
Sunshine and Raindrop are worth around £300 each and have been looked after by her daughter's boyfriend and his family since they were born.
She had adopted them for three years while he moved into a flat and studied at university.
Mrs Bullock said: "It's a shame they were looked after them for so long and after five months in Bromley Cross they are stolen.
"We are concerned because they will be hibernating soon and could die if someone has them who doesn't know anything about them."
The female is a Hermann's tortoise, while the male is a spur-thighed. Both are about nine inches long. Anyone with information should call 304182.
