BURY'S high volume musical battle - Powersound 2001 - reaches its grand finale next week.
Friday, September 14 will see home grown bands and solo singers battling it out to win the title.
Organised by Bury Venues, which runs the Council owned civic halls across the Borough, together with Bury Metro's Youth Service, Powersound gives local young artists a showcase opportunity for their talent.
The grand final will be held at the Radcliffe Civic Suite. The competition begins at 7.30pm and tickets will be available on the night, priced at £2.50.
Sponsors for Powersound, which has prizes of £500 worth of musical equipment, include Doctor Rock Ltd, Stars in Your Eyes Agency and Britvic Soft Drinks.
The artists to reach the final are as follows: Candice - female solo; P6 - female group;
NAU-T - male group; Emma Jo - female solo; Olivia Van den Bergen - female solo; GWA - female group;
Maladjusted - band; The Von Rectumstien Coalition - band.
