SHAUN Goater today warned First Division clubs they are about to be hit by a 'Twister'.
That is the nickname 'The Goat' has hung on City new boy Alioune Toure who threatens to break up the free-scoring partnership of Goater and Paulo Wanchope.
Goater has been hugely impressed with the skill and speed of the French rising star who is expected to sign for City in a £500,000 deal after giving a glimpse of his potential during a trial period.
Goater, who brought the best out of the 22-year-old in the second half of a friendly against Oldham, said: "We gave him the nickname "Twister" because he twisted and turned the defenders inside out. He also has a very lethal shot."
He went on: "He comes with sharpness around the box and he also has experience of having played in the Champions League so he will provide good competition." Toure has represented his country at every level up to U21 and was in the Nantes squad which topped the French First Division last season.
To get into Kevin Keegan's team he will be up against another twister in Paulo Wanchope and it could be a case of whoever plays best is in.
Wanchope, scoring goals and part of a winning team, currently holds the upper hand but he can rest assured that young Toure will be breathing down his neck.
