Radcliffe Boro 6 Trafford 1
GOALS of the highest quality reaped a best result of the Unibond Division One season to date for Boro although the difference between the sides was not as wide as the scoreline suggests.
Richard Landon paved the way on 17 with a superb finish and on 22 with a conversion in off a post from Rick Battersby's cross.
It was 4-0 by the interval through Jody Banim on 39 minutes and a Tony Whealing free kick on 44. Simon Kelly, making his first appearance of the season, got the fifth after coming on as sub and a last minute penalty kick for a foul on Ian Lunt allowed Landon to complete his hat-trick.
Atherton LR 0 Fleetwood 0
HOME form is not what manager Alan Lord would ideally wish for as he saw his Rovers side held to a stalemate at Crilly Park for the fourth consecutive match.
LR had the better of the first half in terms of possession but it was home keeper Steve Powell who had the busier 45 minutes.
An injury to the visitors' keeper saw him forced out of the action just after the interval but his replacement was rarely tested by an LR attack lacking any real sting. A late Mark Parry header was the closest either side came to a goal but it hit an upright.
