MANY of your readers in Bolton and Salford depend on the Royal Bolton Hospital for their health and quality of life, including life itself.

According to Hospital Director of Finance, Beverley Peacock, the Hospital is £3,000,000 in debt. It is hugely dependant on temporary nurses, which means second-rate patient care because of lack of continuity.

It is clear that New Labour's promises on health care do not relate to Bolton and Salford.

However, surely there should be an inquiry into the Trust and the management at Royal Bolton Hospital?

I have hoped to see action by our MPs.

We had an 80-year-old friend who was admitted as an emergency case. He was 10 hours on a trolley, with two sandwiches to eat.

Royal Bolton X-ray Department promises the return of x-rays to doctors in two weeks -- it takes three to six weeks!

I ask the local press to help to get an inquiry into what is going wrong at Royal Bolton Hospital, for the sake of those who depend on it for their lives.
