ORGANISERS have announced the names of the companies and organisations which are competing for £41,000 in cash at this year's Bolton and Bury Business Awards.

BBV (Bolton Business Ventures) received 110 entries across the 15 award categories.

"All the companies listed have been visited by the Business Advisers during August to discuss their applications in more detail and check on the eligibility criteria," said BBV Chief Executive Paul Davidson.

The results will be announced at the Gala Awards Presentation Evening at the Reebok Stadium on Friday, October 12.

Tables are selling out fast for the Gala Dinner and anyone wanting to book tickets is being asked to contact Sylvia Philips at BBV (01204 391400) as soon as possible.

The winner of the Tony Rink Award for Corporate Community Involvement -- in memory of a popular and successful local businessman -- will also be announced at the dinner. This year's winners will be chosen from the entrants below.
