AMBITIOUS chartered accountants Jacksons are to concentrate their growing business in Bolton.
The company which founding partner Nigel Jackson established in Westhoughton in 1985 is coming home.
It is moving its combined staff into the building in Clive Street, Bolton, which previously was the home of the Bolton and Bury Chamber.
It will be occupied from mid-October by eight partners and more than 90 staff members, including 30 from the existing Bolton office -- Trinity House in Breightmet Street.
At present the firm operates from headquarters in Salford Quays and offices in Bolton, Rochdale, Sale, Preston and Wigan.
Jacksons, which achieved the Investors in People award in 1998, is the 40th largest accountancy firm in the UK and has been the fastest-growing practice for the past two years.
The firm says its full range of services will be delivered from the new location and every effort will be made to make the transition a smooth one for both clients and staff. A high-tech environment is designed to deal with clients more quickly and improve service.
Regional partner Peter Donnelly said: "Our new one-stop shop environment signifies the continued development of the group.
"We are looking forward to delivering a premier service to the business community."
Jacksons' success has been achieved by a combination of sustained organic growth and acquisitions.
The group has specialist departments in financial planning, litigation support, corporate finance and outsourcing.
Bolton and Bury Chamber is now back in Commerce House, the one-time miners' union building in Bridgeman Place which was its home before its merger with the former Bolton Bury Training and Enterprise Council.
A shake-up in Government funding means the chamber has had to revert to its previous role as a membership, lobbying and networking organisation.
