IN REPLY to the person who wrote the letter "Biblical plea" (Your Views: September 14).
The Lord said: "let there be light" and the giant star, the only star, was embraced by the darkness. The Lord then blessed the union between the light and darkness, and the star gave birth to more stars than any man could count in a billion lifetimes.
Within this mass of stars was a planet which we now call Earth. The Lord was pleased when he saw the beauty of what he had created, and shed tears of happiness, and they fell upon planet Earth. These are the waters of life, and upon them he sprinkled the seed of life. In time, mankind would be the guardian of the planet, and all that moved upon it.
Mankind would be granted the gift of intelligence, love, compassion, and understanding. Mankind would know the difference between right and wrong. Mankind would know it was wrong to store abundance while others starved or lived in poverty. Mankind would learn that only love of each other could keep the peace, and greed would bring forth war, hate and murder and misery.
