AFTER reading comments made by Dr Brian Iddon MP for Bolton East in the BEN September 17 about "suicide bombers" and large pockets of fanatics in Britain, I ask Dr Iddon how this has happened?

How have they come into Britain? Could they have come in with the very people that Dr Iddon and others have strongly supported while settling in Britain and, if this is the way they have gained entry, what is Dr Iddon going to do about it?

Wasn't Dr Iddon elected to watch out for the welfare of his constituents. Why then has it come to this on his "watch", or was he and others not watching close enough? Now, after these revelations, Dr Iddon seems to urge caution.

What does Dr Iddon suggest the British people do now -- turn tail and run for cover, or hide in their cellars?

Maybe appeasement -- that was tried by another politician in the late 1930s and we know what happened then.

Or should Dr Iddon pay another visit to the Middle East and use his skills as a politician to resolve the situation?

While we wait for Dr Iddon's answer, then Britain should stand by its allies. Dr Iddon talks of rage in the Middle East. Well, with what has happened at the World Trade Centre in New York on September 11, the Americans and British also have the right to be outraged.
