THE Salvation Army Social Service Centre in Duke Street, Bolton, is to be renamed Gilead House at a ceremony on Wednesday.
Gilead is a biblical place renowned for its healing. Bolton's centre offers accommodation for 67 homeless men and a Christian environment. The centre will be renamed by Sir James Anderton.
The ceremony will start at 11.30am before an open day.
Centre manager Captain Hilarie Watchorn said: "The open day will allow people to get a realistic view of the centre and remove any preconceived ideas about what it is like inside a Salvation Army Hostel." For details contact 0161 743 3900.
