ST VINCENT'S Amateur Dramatic Society's next production should leave audiences dying to laugh . . .

That is because the group is staging a comedy -- about a funeral.

Rehearsals have started for the production due to take place from Tuesday to Saturday, October 23 to 27, 7.30pm, at the Parish Centre, Rutherford Drive, Over Hulton.

The comedy is One O'Clock From The House by Frank Vickery. It follows the company's previous successful performances of Dead on Nine and Murdered to Death.

A spokesman said: "Funerals are not usually an occasion for hilarity, but with the family involved in this story, anything is possible."

There is a large cast of 13 characters, with many familiar faces to regular visitors to St Vincent's.

The group also welcomes back Peter Barnett as producer.

Peter brings with him 38 years of experience, from every level ranging from chorus member and dancer to musical director and producer.

Tickets, £3.50 are from the ticket secretary on 01204 64049, or pay at the door.
