SAM Allardyce has flatly denied any interest in Inter Milan's unsettled Turkish international striker, Hakan Sukur, who has fallen out of favour at the San Siro and is being also linked with Fulham and West Ham and now Liverpool.

Sukur's agent, who is trying to find a new club for his 30-year-old client, was reported on a European website to have have been told of Wanderers' "interest" by an Inter official.

But later Liverpool were linked in a shock move for Sukur.

The Turkish star - nicknamed The Bull of the Bosphorous - is being lined up as a short-term replacement for injured England star Michael Owen.

Hakan Azman, one of his agents, told the BBC: "Inter want to release him and are open to offers, so a loan move remains a possibility.

"We have been in contact with Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier and it is possible that we will meet again by the end of the week."

Azman added: "Hakan has a big reputation in Europe and deserves to play in a big team.

"It is not likely he would leave Inter to play for a smaller team, but Liverpool would be a realistic move if the clubs can agree.

"We want to move him to another club because, at the moment, he is not happy."
