THE man who stepped into Eric Clapton's shoes in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and started Fleetwood Mac, appears at Bolton's Albert Halls on October 4, 8pm.
English blues guitar legend Peter Green masterminded a string of hit records for Fleetwood Mac before leaving in 1970. Troubled by the wealth and influence he quit and over the next 20 years sporadically made music. With health problems taking their toll he became a reclusive character.
However, in 1995 Peter Green was coaxed out of his retirement by the late Cozy Powell and his old friend Nigel Watson. Both became mainstays of the Peter Green Splinter Group. The line up of the band has since changed, but Peter remains, having produced five albums in as many years.
Tickets, £14 and £12 concessions, are from 334400.
