TWO vehicles stolen from a garage in Farnworth were used by robbers in an armed bank raid.
The black Subaru Impreza and Audi A4 were used as getaway vehicles by the gang who escaped with cash from the Royal Bank of Scotland, on Bury Old Road, Prestwich.
They rammed a stolen red Ford transit van, carrying a Manchester City Council logo, into the side of the building at around 2.35pm on Tuesday.
They then ran in and threatened staff with a sawn-off shotgun, a machete and hammers.
