BOLTON radio DJ Sara Cox will marry her fiancee, dance music guru Jon Carter, next Saturday.
The 26-year-old has chosen a church in the pretty Irish village of Macreddin in County Wicklow as the venue for her big day on October 6.
The ex-model, who attended Smithills and Canon Slade schools, met her fiancee at the Leeds Love Parade concert last July.
As reported in the BEN, she has turned down a £250,000 offer from a celebrity magazine to have exclusive rights covering her wedding.
She said: "There's no way we wanted to sell our wedding. It's just not the way we are." The Radio One DJ, who presents the station's flagship breakfast show, will have a wedding party with 100 friends and family.
Any talk of babies, however, is being put on hold until at least April 2003.
She said: "At the moment the only babies in my life are my lovely fiance and my radio show.
"I've just signed up with Radio One until April 2003 and I don't intend to have any before then." The ceremony at Authrim church will be followed with a reception at the nearby four star Brooklodge Hotel.
DJ Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, will be spinning the discs which is expected to avoid traditional wedding music in favour of more contemporary styles.
Mr Cook is married to Zoe Ball, Sara's predecessor on the Radio One Breakfast Show.
