A WOMAN has thanked people who helped her 90-year-old mother when she fell on the pavement in Bolton town centre.
Eunice Humphreys said she was grateful to the men and women who comforted elderly Hilda Cranshaw when she injured herself walking near Whitakers at around 3.30pm last Friday.
She suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital as a precaution. She is now recovering at home on Westfield Road, Daubhill, where she lives with her daughter.
Mrs Humphreys said: "She tried to get up and go home, but they insisted she went to the hospital and we are grateful for their help."
