JUSSI Jaaskelainen is the latest member of the Wanderers' squad to win acclaim as a result of the flying start to the season.
The Finland international has been named as the goalkeeper of the month for August by Shoot magazine.
Jaaskelainen has been in spectacular form this season, keeping clean sheets against Leicester City, Middlesbrough and Leeds United after bouncing back from a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out of the second half of last season
He said: "I'm absolutely delighted to have won this award. However, I must point out that the success we have achieved so far is not down to just one person, but to the whole team who have been fantastic."
Jaaskelainen's award follows on from Sam Allardyce's Barclaycard FA Premiership Manager Of The Month award for August, in which which Wanderers kicked off the season with a three-match winning streak. The Reebok victory over Liverpool won the Performance of the Week award and 19-year-old midfielder, Kevin Nolan, picked up a special award for scoring the first goal of the Premiership campaign.
